Dreaming of Godzilla

Another play with colors and shapes. Watercolor on oil color paper. Just had to try it out.  Didnt want the paper to absorb too much of the color for this technic. Great fun and relaxing to do.

Daisies

Another Pastel painting, but on Velour paper.  I do like this paper, as it can take alot of pigment. This time I had no problem with the Fixative.  Maybe velour paper is not making this problem as much as the sanded paper. The daisies are made mostly today. Made the pale drawing yesterday, but began the painting today.  I am not sure I am quite happy with the result,  but it will have to do.

Duck in a Pond

Today I finished this new Pastel,  made on 50 x 70 cm sanded paper.  It is made after a photo by a friend. I was quite happy with the result, untill I gave it Fixative, which made it more grainy than I like. I know this can be a problem, if you want to make the pigment stick to the paper and it seems, I have this problem every now and then. Quite frustrating, because this took me days to paint and it is pretty large too. Oh well. On a  distance you dont see the grain.  Only if you study the image very close.
